ROLLER COASTER

Start with the [Basic Motion].

Grasp the ring with the left hand and lean it over, making the ring almost horizontal, but tilted towards you. The ring does not move, but the tilt makes the beads move around it.

Continue to lean towards you. Beads move clockwise (as seen from above)

Catch the ring with the ring hand after the beads have passed. Begin tilting to the left.

Let go with the left hand before the beads hit it. Tilt to the left.

Tilt the ring away from you.

Beads continue moving clockwise.

Left hand begins to grab ring as the beads reach the area of the ring farthest from you.

Ring is tilted to the right and right hand lets go before the beads hit it. Rollercoaster can continue as long as desired OR...

The ring is allowed to fall back into a vertical position, where you can do the normal [Basic Motion] or go into another trick.

<Additional Comments>

The motion illustrated starts and ends with the left hand, and has the beads going in a clockwise direction. It can also be started and ended with the right hand, with the beads going in a counter-clockwise direction.

When holding the ring with one hand in Roller Coaster, it is common to use the index finger extended underneath (notice the hands in the photos) to make it easier.

The speed of this trick is determined by how much you tilt the ring. A small tilt is very slow and a big tilt is faster.

A harder variation of this trick is to keep the ring totally horizontal, but pull the ring left and right to create the momentum in the beads.
